Every step counts — and for Issy Hayes, that’s not just a motto, it’s a lived reality. At just 20 years old, Issy became the 2024 British Triathlon Super Series Champion in her very first season as a senior athlete — a title ten years in the making, and exactly the kind of story that reminds all of us why sport matters.
Today, we’re incredibly proud to welcome Issy Hayes to the Ampact family as our brand Ambassador!
From Her First Race to the Top of British Triathlon
Issy’s journey began at the age of ten, when she lined up at her first triathlon. From that moment, she never stopped. Years of training across swimming and athletics followed, alongside a sports scholarship through sixth form and eventually a place at Loughborough University — one of the most competitive triathlon training environments in the world, where she trained alongside Olympians and World Champions in the university’s elite performance squad.
The hard work paid off in spectacular fashion. In 2024, in her debut senior season, Issy won the British Triathlon Super Series Championship. Her campaign was a masterclass in consistency: a fifth place at Mallory Heats, an outright win at Mallory Sprint, then back-to-back second-place finishes at the Eton Eliminator and the Grand Final to seal the title. Exactly ten years after her first race, she stood on top of British Triathlon.
As the saying goes — every step counts.
Eyes on LA 2028
Issy’s ambitions don’t stop at the domestic level. In 2025, she stepped up to the European stage, competing against the continent’s best U23 athletes at the European Championships in Melilla, Spain. Now training over 24 hours a week, with a packed schedule of European Cup races ahead, the LA 2028 Olympics is firmly in her sights.
She has also recently joined Brownlee Racing for the 2025 season — the legendary programme built by Alistair and Jonny Brownlee — further underlining the serious trajectory her career is on.
This is an athlete whose world is getting bigger with every race.

Issy and Ampact – the Perfect Match
Triathlon is one of the most demanding sports on the planet — and one of the most demanding on your gear. Athletes need equipment that performs across three completely different disciplines: open water swimming, road cycling, and running. No compromises.
In the water, Issy needs to stay in rhythm and hear her own effort. On the bike, situational awareness isn’t optional — she has to hear traffic, other riders, and her surroundings at speed. On the run, comfort and security are everything when fatigue sets in. Most audio gear is built for one of these worlds — but triathletes need something that survives all three, back to back, in every condition.
That’s exactly what the Ampact Sprinter 100 Series is built for.
With IPX8 waterproof certification — the highest waterproof rating available — the Sprinter 100 is one of the very few headphones genuinely designed to handle open water swimming, not just a bit of sweat or rain. Bone conduction technology means Issy can hear her coach, her surroundings, and stay aware of traffic on the bike without ever sacrificing her audio experience. And the secure, open-ear fit means they stay put whether she’s in the pool, on the road, or pushing through a finish-line run.
Issy is exactly the kind of athlete Ampact is built for — someone who swims, bikes, and runs in all conditions, someone who never stops chasing her goals.
