Our “Chief Voltage Officer” spent 11 years electrifying the broadcast audio and video industry, leading projects across the globe for big-names including the BBC, TOEI, and Tencent. An Edinburgh graduate in Advanced Computer Science and Electronics and Electrical Engineering, he’s both a decorated swimmer and a specialist in communication systems and digital signal processing.
He merged pro-grade engineering standards with athlete-grade endurance to found Ampact – personally leading development of every prototype and testing each during his marathon swims. This rare combination of industry expertise and athletic grit defines Ampact’s DNA.
We Build Transparency
Most companies won’t show you where or how their products are made – even if you ask. Some don’t even know. Others wouldn’t want you to see. At Ampact, we believe in honest engineering and transparent processes, and we want to show you how your Ampact products are proudly made!
We’ve partnered with the same family-owned factory for over 7 years – a facility with 20+ years in audio engineering. Together, we’ve refined every process to meet our shared standards. Every technician undergoes two months of training before working on Ampact products. And yes, worker welfare is as important to us as it is to you. We hold our manufacturing facilities to the same high standards you expect:
- A clean, well-maintained production line;
- Bright, climate-controlled and well-ventilated workspaces;
This level of openness is only possible because of the strong partnership we’ve developed over the years. The mutual trust we’ve built allows us to document and share these processes with you – without reservations.
Strict 8-hour workdays (8:30-12:00, 13:30-18:00) 5 days/week are non-negotiable here – whether you’re assembling headphones or running the office. No overtime, no working on the weekends. We know because they won’t even bend rules for our audit team (yes, we’ve been ‘lunch-roomed’ too!).
We Test Resilience
EVERY Sprinter 100 must pass:
- Audio Precision – Frequency response 20Hz-20kHz (±2dB deviation)
- Wireless Reliability – Bluetooth connection and stability test
- IP68 Certification – Waterproof pressure test
- Battery Endurance – 20x charge cycles + 7 days idle hold test
Our 0.3% Sacrifice Rule – We intentionally test 3 random samples in every 1,000 units to destruction:
- 1,000x 1.5m drops onto concrete (automated testing rig)
- 100,000x transducer hinge folds (simulating 10 years of daily use)
- Battery Torture – 72hr rapid charge/discharge cycles with <10% capacity loss
